One Bank Seeks Collection Officers Across Greater Dhaka

One Bank PLC has announced a new recruitment drive to strengthen its Retail Monitoring and Recovery Unit, inviting applications for the position of Collection Officer. The bank plans to recruit 10 employees for the role, with applications remaining open until 7 July 2026.

According to the official recruitment notice, candidates holding either a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in any discipline are eligible to apply. The vacancy does not specify any prior work experience as a mandatory requirement, making it an attractive opportunity for fresh graduates and early-career professionals seeking to establish themselves in Bangladesh’s banking sector.

Applicants must be at least 24 years of age. Those selected may be posted in Dhaka Metropolitan Area, Savar, Gazipur or Narayanganj, depending on the bank’s operational requirements. Prospective candidates are therefore expected to be willing to work in any of these locations if appointed.

The monthly salary for the position has been fixed at Tk 22,000. While the recruitment notice primarily outlines the eligibility criteria, the responsibilities associated with the role are expected to centre on supporting loan recovery activities, maintaining regular communication with borrowers, monitoring overdue accounts and assisting in the implementation of recovery procedures in accordance with the bank’s internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

The Retail Monitoring and Recovery Unit plays a significant role in a commercial bank’s credit management framework. Its primary objective is to monitor loan portfolios, improve recovery performance and help minimise the risk of default. Effective recovery operations contribute to maintaining the quality of a bank’s assets while supporting overall financial stability.

Bangladesh’s banking industry has placed increasing emphasis on strengthening loan management, risk control and customer relationship practices in recent years. As financial institutions continue to improve operational efficiency and address challenges related to non-performing loans, recruitment in monitoring, recovery and customer management functions has become increasingly common. Positions such as Collection Officer provide valuable practical exposure to banking operations, customer engagement and credit administration, making them suitable entry points for individuals aspiring to build long-term careers in the financial services sector.

Interested applicants are advised to read the recruitment notice carefully before submitting their applications. Particular attention should be paid to the educational qualifications, age requirement, potential workplace locations and any additional conditions mentioned in the advertisement. Applications must be submitted by the specified deadline, as submissions received after 7 July 2026 will not be considered.
